Dobrochna Zubek and Caitlyn Boyle

Cellist Dobrochna Zubek and violist Caitlyn Boyle met at the University of Toronto in 2013 where they both received their Doctoral Degree in Performance.

Their collaboration as a viola and cello duo started during the pandemic when smaller ensembles were more manageable at house/salon concerts and gatherings than larger groups. In the process, they discovered a rich variety of repertoire written for viola and cello, some of which are known and celebrated, but many of which have not received the exposure they deserve.  The program ranges from Beethoven and Bach to works by Clarke, Gliere, Lutoslawski, and Toronto based composer David Jaeger.

They look forward to sharing these works with you!
